Overview of common PC operating systems

The operating system is a set of programs that allow you to control the personal computer and operate user applications. In the past, some PC systems came out of eight-bit system programs, others were based on mainframe systems.
Microsoft’s most popular Windows user interface was initially just a graphical interface to MS-DOS system. It stood on the basis of the CP/M operating system.
Apple first established its computer system programs only on Motorola processors. After switching to the PowerPC platform, the original System 7 has changed to the current Mac OS.
The intensive development of the Internet makes it possible to simplify next-generation PC operating systems. Much of the user’s activity takes place in a web browser, such as Google Chrome OS.
